Service planning

Pick the service plan that fits your facility.

Hospitals, ambulatory centers, specialty clinics, dental groups, skilled nursing teams, and home-health agencies do not operate medical devices in the same way. Terumo uses a guided intake to understand your installed base, staff coverage, clinical hours, cybersecurity constraints, and regulatory documentation needs before recommending a plan. The result supports your biomed team rather than replacing it, keeps accessories and consumables visible, and gives clinical leaders a predictable path for training, escalation, and recall response under ISO 13485 service records.

Hospital Service Plan

For ICU, OR, and step-down environments, this plan aligns preventive maintenance windows, infusion and alarm review, loaner availability, and escalation roles. Your in-house team keeps Tier 1 ownership while Terumo supports complex diagnostics, firmware coordination, and audit documentation. Target urban on-site response planning: <4h for critical life-support assets when contracted.

Ambulatory Surgical Center Plan

ASCs need fast support without excessive overhead. We map after-hours coverage, sterile consumable par levels, staff refreshers, and risk-based checks so devices and kits are ready before the first case and service activity avoids peak procedure blocks.

Imaging / Procedure Center Plan

For hybrid procedure suites using Terumo access and infusion accessories, we coordinate daily readiness checks, DICOM/HL7 adjacency notes when monitors are in scope, and spare staging for high-turnover days.

Specialty Clinic Plan

Clinics often need practical guidance on calibration, IFU refresh, accessories, patient-side education, and HCPCS-related documentation. The plan focuses on a smaller fleet, clear contact paths, and quick answers for mixed clinical and administrative teams.

Home Health Agency Plan

For respiratory and remote-care programs, support includes caregiver teach-back materials, connection checks, replacement consumable cadence, and escalation notes that help field nurses keep patient transitions organized.

Skilled Nursing & LTC Plan

Long-term care facilities receive practical routines for infection-control supplies, respiratory accessories, device cleaning intervals, and documentation that can be repeated across shifts with minimal disruption.

Common questions from biomed and supply chain teams

Do you support our existing biomed team or replace them?

We augment your team. Terumo helps with advanced troubleshooting, service documentation, firmware planning, parts coordination, and clinical workflow questions while your in-house team remains the primary owner of routine checks and local procedures.

How do you handle FDA recalls on our installed base?

Recall response begins with UDI and lot visibility. We help compare affected device and accessory records, document actions, coordinate replacement steps, and provide a clear response note for quality, risk, and procurement leaders — typically within 24–48 hours of notice when records are complete.

Will you work with our existing CMMS (Nuvolo / Maximo / Connectiv)?

Yes. Work orders, service notes, preventive maintenance evidence, and escalation summaries can be formatted for common CMMS workflows via REST or HL7 FHIR attachments where your IT allows.

What is covered under HIPAA BAA when you remote into equipment?

A business associate agreement is executed before any remote session that may encounter PHI. PHI is not logged or stored on Terumo service servers; session scope is role-based and time-bounded.

Without a service plan

  • 4–6h average MTTR on complex escalations
  • Parts requested after failure
  • Recall reviews rely on spreadsheets
  • Training refreshes happen after incidents

With a Terumo plan

  • <2h target remote triage; parts pre-staged where contracted
  • Tier 1 / Tier 2 / FSE roles defined
  • UDI records support 24–48h field action review
  • Teach-back and refresher modules scheduled
